Bye-bye bread
I haven’t been doing a ‘diet-diet’ per say. I am simply trying to avoid overeating as much as I am used to. I have a light breakfast of eggs or fruits, my lunch which usually is tuna with cheese or corn with cheese, then dinner with husband, which can be pretty much anything we’re in the mood of cooking.
I haven’t bought bread in a week because I’ve decided to completely stop with those type of calories and carbs. However, I do have my stash of breads and pastas in the pantry which I will continue to use from time-to-time until they are completely finished. Like today. Today I made meatloaf (my husband really likes my meatloaf and he asked for it again) and accompanied it with sliced cucumber as a salad, and a serving of Chinese (or Vietnamese) vermicelli (an extremely thin pasta, finer than angel hair).
That was pretty yummy. It had a little bit of everything, the meat, the flours, the greens, sugar (from the tomato sauce), and hmmm no oils, but that’s good. But now I find myself hungry. Very, very hungry.
And I know it’s no real hunger… it’s like cravings. But my body Feels hungry…
Any ideas on how to overcome that? I am going to eat tuna (no carbs!) to calm it down, but still… how does one get rid of the darn cravings?!
